Paul Ormerod

 

Paul is a long standing critic of conventional macro economics. His 1994 book, The Death of Economics, sold 1.5 million copies world wide. He is one of the most experienced macroeconomic forecasters in the UK, having been Director of Economics at the Henley Centre for Forecasting, Head of Economic Assessment at the Economist newspaper group, and senior UK forecaster at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research. He is currently a Visiting Professor at University College London (UCL), Europe’s strongest computer science department. Paul and Rickard Nyman currently supervise the theses of MSc students in computer science on economic forecasting projects.
